Candidate Vincent ("Vince") Coe is the South Carolina Democratic Party's Nominee for House District 63 (Florence, SC). Vince is man of great faith and started out as an Intern at the Lt. Governor of South Carolina's office. From then on, Vince knew he would be called to serve one day. He earned a Business degree from the University of South Carolina. After graduating, Vince remained in South Carolina, and stayed on as a Program Assistant at the Lt. Governor's Office. After prayer and counsel with his family, he decided to move to New York and started working for the FDIC in 2009 at a time when many banks were forced to close because of the housing market crash. Vince and his colleagues were awarded Mission Achievement Awards for superior performance demonstrated to preserve confidence in the banking system and meeting the corporation's goals. 

In obedience to his calling, Vince resigned from the FDIC and moved to Cleveland, Ohio to attend law school. Vince chose to enroll at Case Western Reserve University because of its reputation for offering a solid legal education to individuals of color and women at its inception. During law school Vince held true to his deep commitment to serve others and he served as a resident advisor for undergraduate students as well as a student leader (council member) with efforts resulting in the unification of all graduate and professional school student associations under a newly created organization - the Graduate Student Union. 

Vince completed three clerkships during school: United States Army Corps of Engineers; United States Attorney's Office; and the Federal Trade Commission. As an elected officer of the Black Law Student's Association, Vince worked closely with members, officers, and faculty to honor the life and legacy of Stephanie Tubbs Jones (Law Alum and US Congresswoman) of Cleveland, Ohio. Vince was chosen and designated by his graduating class as recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award. Vince was reinstated at the FDIC after law school, and he later moved to Atlanta, GA to accept a position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. 

Vince moved back home to South Carolina to assist his mother with running a non-profit health care organization that he helped her establish several years prior. He also started his own management consulting business (Balcony Advisors) that advises banks and major corporations all over the world.  As a successful business owner, Vince completed the National Minority Supplier Development Council's Emerging Young Entrepreneurs Program and the Tuck Executive Education Program at Dartmouth University. 

Vince is affiliated with the American Bankers Association, Florence County Chamber of Commerce, University of South Carolina Young Alumni Council (National At-Large Delegate) and the South Carolina State Trooper's Association. Vince holds a Certificate in Executive Management from Francis Marion University School of Business, and Graduate of the Sonoco Leadership Academy. Vince teaches part-time as a Lecturer at Case Western Reserve School of Law - Financial Integrity Institute.
